The Hispanic community is vital to the future of the United States and the Republican Party and as the son of Mexican immigrants, I am honored to have been selected by Speaker John Boehner to deliver the Spanish-language response.

The Chair of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, insists that unemployment hasn't risen under President Obama.

Attorney General Holder testified today that "Nobody in the Justice Department has lied," despite the letter sent to Senator Grassley denying the existence of Fast and Furious. There's also new evidence that the Justice Department planned to use Fast and Furious to push for stricter gun laws.

On July 14, 2010 after ATF headquarters in Washington D.C. received an update on Fast and Furious, ATF Field Ops Assistant Director Mark Chait emailed Bill Newell, ATF's Phoenix Special Agent in Charge of Fast and Furious:

"Bill - can you see if these guns were all purchased from the same (licensed gun dealer) and at one time. We are looking at anecdotal cases to support a demand letter on long gun multiple sales. Thanks."

"This project was failed and flawed from the beginning," said Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., questioning why Holder has not terminated the "many people involved" with the program. 

Despite the controversy over the inaccurate February letter from Justice, Holder also stated: "Nobody in the Justice Department has lied."

Not only did the Department of Justice make gun purchases easier for Mexican cartels and try to cover it up, now we're finding out that the department is laundering money for them as well. What's next?

The California Republican leading a probe into the gun-trafficking sting Operation Fast and Furious is opening an inquiry into another reported Justice Department scheme in which U.S. narcotics agents laundered drug proceeds to Mexican cartels across the border.
