Canseco for Congress Campaign

Begins Airing Radio Spots

San Antonio, TexasToday, the Quico Canseco for Congress Campaign announced that it has begun its media campaign in its effort to take back the 23rd Congressional District of Texas for Republicans. The campaign has produced and recorded a sixty second radio ad which is now being broadcast on radio stations across South Texas. The ad is designed to help voters learn more about Quico Canseco, his conservative values, and why he wants to serve in the United States Congress. Canseco is seeking the Republican Party nomination to challenge Democrat incumbent Ciro Rodriguez.

The radio ad, produced by the award winning Strategy Group for Media, features Quico Canseco talking about his family, his business experience, his faith, and his belief in principled, ethical government.

Canseco said that even though the Republican Primary election is not currently scheduled to be held until March 2008, he felt it was important to begin telling voters about why he wants to serve as their conservative voice in the United States Congress.

Canseco said that he had just recently returned from our nation’s capitol where he met with White House officials, Republican Party campaign officials, and members of Texas’ Congressional Delegation. “Every one of these leaders told me that winning the 23rd Congressional District is a top priority for Republicans, just as it will be for Ciro Rodriguez, his leader Nancy Pelosi, and the Democrats. We have started our campaign advertising now so that voters will have ample time to contrast my vision for service in the Congress with the liberal voting record of Ciro Rodriguez,” Canseco added.

“This race for congress is going to be about integrity, principles and values,” Canseco said. “I have spent years working for conservative causes. However, my conservative principles were not arrived at by chance; they were shaped by my family, my heritage and my life experiences.  I want the people in the 23rd district to not just know that I am a Republican but to know why I am a conservative. I believe these ads will help me do just that,” Canseco concluded.
